HOLLY WILLIS

Interactive Frictions Exhibition

Holly Willis was still a doctoral student when I asked her to co-curate the museum exhibition in conjunction with the Interactive Frictions conference in 1999. Working with my assistant Joanne Hanley and me, Holly did an excellent job. She has a quiet strength that enables her to remain calm and to accomplish whatever needs to be done. She knew the art scene and the world of independent film quite well, for she had been covering it as a journalistic critic. These skills and experience now also serve her well as the Chair of the Media Arts and Practice Division and as Director of Academic Programs at USC’s Institute for Multimedia Literacy, both in USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.
