VICTOR AURELIO BAUTISTA

Dreamworks, Playing with Power, Runaways, Jewish Homegrown History.

Given Victor is my son, he has been collaborating with me all his life—as the co-star of our story in the Premature Labor Handbook; as a young dreamer in the final issue of Dreamworks; as the subject of a case study in Playing with Power and interviewee in the companion video; as an actor in the video game Runaways who shows you how to import your own image; as one of the figures on the cover of Kids’ Media Culture (who may be disguised as Darth Vader); as the editor of “Come Wander,” one of the main mini-narratives on intermarriage in our museum installation Jewish Homegrown History; and as a pivotal contributor to the JHGH website, with a video on his own experience of mixed-raced identity. He is now working as a video coordinator on the Hemispheric Institute at NYU.
